Sao Skirt Maxi – sold out | Olive & Pique Hat | Forever 21 Necklace and Sandals
Sabo Skirt is a brand I’ve been watching closely for a few months through social media. I finally gave in and started ordering a lot of summer pieces from them this past month. It’s an Australian company owned by two ladies, Thessy and Yiota, who started out as marketing and property development students, but are now two up and coming entrepreneurs in the fashion industry. They started their shop from their home and kept all their stock in a spare bathroom and study when they first started out. Now, Sabo Skirt is one of the biggest global brands out there. You can read more about the dynamic duo in this interview with Popsugar. Expect to see a lot of great things from them in the near future.
All of their clothes are one of a kind, designed by both girls and made of high quality materials. What’s best about ordering from them is that right now, one U.S. dollar is worth 1.25 Australian dollars, so your total ends up being cheaper than what’s displayed on the site. I haven’t had any problems with shipping either – all my packages have arrived within two weeks of placing my order. If you have an online shopping addiction like I do, I highly recommend checking this company out.
What drew me to this dress were the side cutouts. They turn a plain black maxi into a bold statement piece. This outfit can be dressed up or down with the right accessories. I decided to pair it with this necklace for a look in between because it reminds me of the Dylanlex jewels I keep seeing all over Instagram. I would love to get my hands on one, but they’re way out of my price range. I love how big and chunky the are, they drastically change the look of any outfit.
