Spring Blues

Four days into spring and I’m still wearing thick sweaters and heavy jackets. I’m so over this weather and ready to break out the sundresses and sandals and have picnics in the park. I’m hoping April brings along some heat, but I guess I’ll embrace the sweater weather while I still can.

Now is the perfect time to stock up on all your cold weather essentials. Big, chunky sweaters like this are starting to go on sale, and if you’re anything like me, you can’t bring yourself to overpay for a plain ‘ol pullover. This blue knit is a gem and I surprisingly stumbled upon it on a random Tuesday at H&M for only $17! I also picked up another similar to this, but flecked with orange for just $20 (see it on my Instagram here). Both were originally $49.99, which isn’t an outrageous price for a sweater, but there are a million other things I’d rather buy with $50.

You can never have too many sweaters and they’re essential pieces for a capsule wardrobe. I’m definitely holding on to both for next fall to add a bright pop of color to my wardrobe!

William Okpo: #WOseasonless

Some of you may or may not know this, but when I’m not blogging or at school, I’m working as an account executive for a small boutique PR agency that represents fashion, beauty and lifestyle clients. Last week, I was given the amazing opportunity to assist with a fashion presentation for William Okpo!

William Okpo is a NY-based womenswear line designed by sisters Darlene and Lizzy Okpo. This collection drew its inspiration from old-school Harlem – think big afros and all the amazing curls (thanks to Shea Moisture stylists) and lots of knitwear in muted tones that worked perfectly together.

The pieces featured in the presentation are part of a seasonless collection, which means you can wear them all year long! Check out some of my favorite styles below:
