Buttons and micro-bags are having a major moment right now so what better way to create a look than by putting them both together? This linen midi dress is so perfect and the buttons only make it *that* much better. I love wearing this to work for a chic and easy look or for a relaxing Sunday brunch. The icing on the cake? I scored it at the Zara summer sale for just $40! It’s sold out now, unless you’re lucky and can snag one in store, but I’ve linked a very similar style (sans buttons) for $70 below.
I still don’t know how to feel about the micro-bag trend, but I just love this bag so much and haven’t used it in nearly 10 years (does that make it vintage?!). The only reason is because I’m so used to carrying everything around with me, and with this bag I can only tote the essentials. Luckily it’s roomy enough to hold my phone, wallet and keys, which is all I really need!
If you’re looking for a good Chanel slingback dupe, this pair from Zara is to die for. They’re not an exact replica and the vinyl makes them truly their own. They’re surprisingly comfy, and for $50 they’re a fraction of the price point and way more practical for walking around those city streets.
Top off the look with any delicate gold jewelry. I’m loving all the rings right now and this Starburst Signet from Mejuri is everything. It fits perfectly and always reminds me to keep my pinky up.

Happy Independence Day! Today’s the day to pull out your best red, white and blue. And while you’ve probably been saving that *beloved* American flag bikini or your ‘MURICA graphic tee for this day, it’s time to retire all of the above. For good. Great news, you can still celebrate in style and you don’t even need to break the bank to do it.
I’ve worn this jumpsuit for many different occasions, but I’ve specifically repurposed it with white and red accessories for today. I’m obsessing over all-white everything for the summer, so my trusty Nico Giani tote (scored from the NET-A-PORTER sale) and my Gucci loafers were perfect for this outfit. I topped off the look with red fringe earrings from Topshop for the perfect pop of color. Side note: I’m only wearing one earring because I lost the other running after the subway last week. *oops*
This was definitely the most relaxing Fourth I’ve had in a very long time. I slept in (which was much needed) and only got dressed to hop over to the local diner for a super late breakfast. It’s so weird having this holiday in the middle of the week; not nearly enough time to get a way for a quick holiday jaunt. I’m going to continue taking it easy today and hopefully will be able to catch the annual Macy’s 4th of July fireworks from my new rooftop!
12th Tribe romper | Steve Madden saddle bag – similar | Dolce Vita bootie
Light pink hues are my fave for summer 2016. I picked up this gorgeous romper from an online boutique called 12th Tribe. It’s light and airy and goes well with flat sandals during the day and heels at night for dinner or drinks with your girls.
This color matches perfectly with my rose pink saddle bag from Steve Madden. I love this bag because it reminds me of styles from Chloé and Rebecca Minkoff, but at a quarter of the price – only $30 at Marshall’s! It’s big enough to hold the essentials (phone, wallet, keys) plus a little extra. The best summer bag!
I finished the look with a pair of sandals from Dolce Vita, found at Nordstrom stores. They come in three different colors and ever since I bought them, I can’t stop wearing them! Every girl needs a pair of chunky heels in their closet. They’re the best for walking downtown streets and they won’t kill your feet by the end of the night. Here, here and here are some similar styles that I adore.

My third year at Sunset Music Festival was a success! I wasn’t as impressed with this year’s lineup as I was with last year’s, but the main reason I went was SQUAD (and Diplo).
For day one, I decided to rock this off-the-shoulder romper by Lucca Couture styled with a leather choker and western-esque belt. I found the hat on sale at Forever 21 the night before and decided to keep it on for the festival literally as I was getting into my Uber to head to the stadium. I was worried about getting it dirty, but don’t regret wearing it at all because pulled my outfit together perfectly. I was overdressed for this event per usual, but this is no surprise since I’m forever pretending I’m at Coachella everywhere I go.
I didn’t care about seeing anyone on the lineup until the afternoon, which worked out because it was a typical 90-degree day in Florida. I’m so happy I had a VIP band because I probably would have died of heat stroke standing in the crowd in GA. If you’ve never been and plan on going next year, I recommend shelling out the extra bucks for VIP. The main stage viewing deck is covered and is ideal to hang out at until the sun goes down. I can guarantee people are going to tell you it’s a waste of money, but just trust me on this one. Don’t ever let anyone in GA tell you shit about VIP.
SMF also did step it up this year with their Horizon and Eclipse stages, somewhat mimicking the mega structures found at EDC and Ultra. Nothing compares to the stages at these festivals, but the add-ons mixed well with the vibes of the music.
On Saturday, I saw some artists I haven’t seen before and a few that I have in the past. I was especially impressed with Claude VonStroke’s closing set at the Horizon stage. I gravitated toward this stage thinking it was Seven Lions, but was surprised when I was closer and heard some good deep house. I heard a lot of mixed reviews about Mija’s set – it was very different from what she typically plays at shows, but she expressed on Twitter that she played music she truly loved and I can definitely respect that. I ended the night at NGHTMRE’s after party at the Orpheum in Ybor with a few friends, but was so exhausted I could only handle watching the show from the sidelines on a couch.

Forever 21 romper – similar cut here and here | Michael Kors handbag – other colors found at Marshall’s | Michael Kors sandals – similar here | Ray Ban aviators | Forever 21 necklace
Rompers are one of my favorite pieces to wear, especially for summer. They’re so versatile and you can easily dress them up or down depending on the occasion. Even a plain, solid colored romper can change into an eye-catching outfit with the help of some bomb accessories!
I bought this particular romper a few years ago, but decided to break it out again when the warm weather rolled around. I love the fun, vibrant color; it’s probably one of the brightest pieces in my closet. The necklace adds a fun pop of color and some contrast. I usually prefer wearing darks and neutrals, but there’s something about this color combination that I’m really drawn to.
My advice for choosing that perfect summer romper is to find a silhouette that fits your body type. Not all rompers work for everyone! I typically gravitate toward ones that are more form fitting and cinched at the middle of the waist. You can always add a belt to switch things up!
What do you think of rompers? Should they stay or should they go? Let me know in the comments below!
Billabong Swim Top | RVCA Shorts | Sarah J. Curtis Hat | Sam Edelman Birks
Festival season is here! So excited to start outfit planning. This year I’ll be attending Sunset Music Fest and EDC Vegas. I wasn’t planning on going to SMF, but the lineup is killer. I’m excited to see Oliver Heldens, Cashmere Cat, Don Diablo, Keys N Krates, Tchami and Route 94. Can’t wait till the EDC lineup is released. I know it will be insane.
The hat is my favorite part of this flatlay. It’s a bit pricey ($240 to be exact – I loved it so much I was considering splurging), but I was able to snag it from my favorite blogger, Ivana Revic’s most recent sale for a quarter of the price. It’s a classic straw Panama hat with a wide brim, perfect for the beach. I paired it with a black swim top and denim shorts, because everyone knows you can’t go wrong with denim. I picked up the birks from Nordstrom Rack a few months ago and have been wearing them nonstop. They’re one of the comfiest sandals I’ve ever owned and I’m definitely thinking about buying another pair.
