On Saturday, I visited Yayoi Kusama’s highly anticipated Festival of Life exhibit, which is showing for a very limited time in NYC. You may recognize Yayoi’s work from all over Instagram – she is known for her Infinity Mirrors exhibition at The Broad in Los Angeles, so it was really cool of her to bring her inspiration over to the east coast. Definitely a must see if you happen to have 4.5 hours to spare (not kidding)!
Festival of Life is showing at the David Zwirner Gallery in the Meatpacking District until December 16. Admission is free, but disclaimer: you will be waiting a lot and only get about five minutes tops in the main exhibit, so be prepared with a large hot chocolate and a cozy outfit!
